Monday 14th October
Y6 left on their Overstrand Hall adventure today. Please check back here during the week for regular updates.
3.40pm – Y6 have arrived safely and are settling in.
Tuesday 15th October
9.00am – After a delicious dinner of sausage and mash, a walk to the beach and a quiz, everybody went to sleep early and slept well (amazing!). The weather is overcast but dry and today’s activities include crate stacking. Jacob’s ladder, low ropes and orienteering. There will be a night walk after dinner.
The groups enjoyed knife skills and making fires (almost!) Everyone enjoyed the night walk under some beautiful stars… now to bed!
Wednesday 16th October
9.00am – After a really good night, everyone was was awake in time for breakfast at 7.15am. There are a few bleary eyed staff, but the children are all very chirpy and raring to go. It has just started to rain, but everyone is fine and having a good time. Everyone will be having a go at the climbing wall today. and other activities will be crate staking, lasers, Jacob’s ladder and the jungle vine.
Thursday 17th October
10.00am – The children enjoyed conquering Jacob’s ladder and honing their archery skills. After dinner they took part in an alternative olympics with races in the dark and a song or two. Everyone slept very well and we have woken up to a bright almost sunny morning.
Friday 18th October
8.45am – For the last evening the group all enjoyed songs, hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows around the campfire. Everyone was asleep almost as soon as their heads hit their pillows! They are looking forward to their final morning of activities before heading home.
