We are very happy and excited to introduce our new catering provider, Aspens, who will start to provide school meals at Mayfield from September.
Aspens specialise in providing catering to schools and colleges across the country and are passionate about serving fresh, high quality and locally sourced food that is cooked in our kitchen. Some of you may have met them and tried some of their food at sports day. 
Every day Aspens will be offering a choice between a hot main meal, a vegetarian main meal (available to non-veggies too), a packed lunch or a jacket potato with a choice of fillings. From September every child in Reception, Y1 and Y2 will be entitled to receive free school meals. Research has shown that children who eat a regular healthy meal at lunchtime are more likely to be able to concentrate, get better academic results and are less likely to be obese. And it’s free!
