Monday 28th June
Y6 left on their very long awaited Overstrand Hall adventure today. Please check back here during the week for regular updates.
15:55 They have just pulled in to the driveway, so the journey took longer than expected but they have arrived safely.
Tuesday 29th June
8.45 Last night the children did a range of activities including a 2.5 mile walk, a blindfolded ‘follow my leader’ activity through the woods, aeroball (basketball on trampolines) and orienteering. They took a while to get to sleep but then all slept well. Breakfast was at 7.00am and they are now getting ready for today’s activities.

Wednesday 30th June

8.45 The children were exhausted yesterday after their rope climbing and late night the previous night so slept VERY well. Asleep by 10 and no tears. They had a mini olympics last night and they are off to the beach today so hoping it stays dry.
9.40 Bouldering and archery for 6F this morning and low ropes and a STEM activity for 6G. There are some photos from the climbing on the slideshow in Tuesday morning’s update.

Thursday 1st July
8.50 Last night the children had fun with bottle rockets (ask them what happened if the water balloon inside survived), followed by a quiz. Today’s activities include a laser quest, den building, a STEM team activity and night line. A couple more photos have been added to the slideshow. Mrs Emery reports that they are having lots of fun.

Friday 2nd July
9.00 Yesterday evening the children collected wood and had a campfire for their last night. This morning’s activities are bouldering and an obstacle challenge for 6G and low ropes and the obstacle challenge for 6F. The coach is booked to leave Overstrand at 1.00pm to arrive back at school at around 3.20pm – we will update you during the journey.
12.55 They left at 12.50 and are taking a different route home to avoid the roadworks. ETA is currently around 3.00pm but they will update when they’re nearer.
14.20 They’re making good time – should be at Mayfield at 3.00pm.
