<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\nAt the end of April\u00a0we played in a ‘B Team’ competition at\u00a0Netherhall Secondary School. \u00a0This was Mayfield’s first netball comp in the 8 years Miss Moulds has\u00a0been here! The team played well and came 3rd in their group of 4.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Girls Football End of Year Report<\/span><\/strong> – by team coach Ben Clough<\/p>\n During this school year, eighteen girls from years 5 and 6 have represented the school in the girls football team.<\/p>\n From Year 5: Cara, Juliet, Ellie, Niamh, Holly and Lara. We have entered various competitions and done extremely well: We have also played a number of friendly games: The girls have trained every Monday morning, come rain or shine for the whole season. The attitude of the entire squad is fantastic and this explains the amazing progress made by each and every member. The girls have played with smiles on their faces and whilst fiercely competitive, the spirit of fair play shown by the girls has drawn praise from opposition coaches and teachers many times during the course of the season.<\/p>\n I am hugely proud of the girls. I am sure they will remember their time in the Mayfield football team with fondness and pride.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/a>Cross Country Running<\/span>
\n<\/strong>Also in April we a boys and a girls team took part in a cross country running competition. The boys came in 72nd place- out of 128 teams, in a time of 22.04 mins. \u00a0The girls came in 43rd place – out of 101 teams, in a time of 23.53<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n

\nWin against CIS 5-0<\/p>\n<\/a>We have lost two games during the season: One against Histon in the county final and one against CIS. Our record against Histon (worthy county champions) is played 3, won 2, lost 1. The other game we lost, a very close affair at home against CIS was expunged from memory with a comprehensive win in the return match, 5-0.<\/p>\n
