For that reason, we thought we would signpost a list of approved, informative, self-help websites with helpful resources and advice for you and your family to access:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keep-your-head.com\/mental-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #422874;\"> Keep Your Head<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0&#8211; this website is a\u00a0central point for information on children and young people\u2019s mental health and wellbeing in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.\u00a0This site signposts you to important online information and local services on mental health and wellbeing for young people. It\u2019s for children, young people, parents, carers, teachers and other professionals.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kooth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #422874;\">Kooth<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0&#8211; XenZone is a provider of online mental health services for children, young people and adults.\u00a0 Kooth, from XenZone, is an online counselling and emotional well-being platform for children and young people, accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mind.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #422874;\">Mind<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0&#8211; for 70 years, we have been committed to making sure that everyone experiencing a mental health problem can access the support they need and is treated with the respect they deserve. Through public campaigns, influencing decision makers and the services our local Minds deliver in communities across England and Wales, we have touched millions of lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youngminds.org.uk\/young-person\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\">Young Minds<\/span><\/a><\/strong> &#8211; leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges.\u00a0 \u00a0Young Minds offers a text based crisis helpline for young people as well as a phone-based helpline for parents and carers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mindedforfamilies.org.uk\/young-people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\">MindEd for Families<\/span><\/a><\/strong> -safe and reliable advice about young people\u2019s mental health, created by experts and parents together.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childline.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\">Childline<\/span><\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Childline is yours \u2013 a free, private and confidential service where you can talk about anything.\u00a0 Whatever your worry, whenever you need help, we\u2019re here for you online, on the phone, anytime.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk\/residents\/children-and-families\/parenting-and-family-support\/child-and-family-centres\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #422874;\">Child and Family Centres<\/span><\/strong><\/a> &#8211; if you are struggling with your child\/ren and finding them difficult to manage at home, they may have lots of worries or concerns etc., then look on the Cambridgeshire County Council website for advice from the Child and Family Centres. They run parenting courses and also have drop-ins which are run by higher level Family Support Workers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chums.uk.com\/cambs-pborough-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\"><strong>CHUMS <\/strong><\/span><\/a> &#8211; parents can refer their child to CHUMS Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service. The service offers support to children and young people (5 -25) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, such as anxiety and low mood, as well as those with significant emotional wellbeing difficulties arising from life events, such as bereavement (5-19) and bullying.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambscommunityservices.nhs.uk\/what-we-do\/children-young-people-health-services-cambridgeshire\/cambridgeshire-0-19-healthy-child-programme\/school-nursing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\"><strong>School Nursing Service<\/strong><\/span><\/a> &#8211; a universal health service for children and young people and their parents that aims to optimise health and promote learning through well-being and inclusion. Accessed through the school Nurse Duty Desk.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpft.nhs.uk\/self-harm-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\"><strong>Self Harm: A Guide for Parents and Carers<\/strong><\/span><\/a> &#8211; this information was developed from talking to parents and carers of young people and is aimed at helping parents, carers, other family members and friends cope when a young person is self harming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/articles\/zkcj92p\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\"><strong>Keeping Safe Online &#8211; BBC Bitesize<\/strong><\/span><\/a> &#8211; being online can be great fun, but there are lots of things you need to be careful with.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childnet.com\/resources\/parent-and-carer-toolkit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\"><strong>Childnet Parents and Carers Toolkit<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0&#8211; three resources that offer practical tips and advice on different aspects of keeping your child safe online.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nspcc.org.uk\/keeping-children-safe\/support-for-parents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #422874;\"><strong>NSPCC: Support and Advice for Parents<\/strong><\/span><\/a> &#8211; There&#8217;s no such thing as a perfect parent. One day all&#8217;s calm, the next it&#8217;s chaos.
