As a mum of two children who struggled/are struggling with reading in infant and early junior years I am always looking for engaging & approchable books they can read independently to boost their confidence and make the whole reading experience enjoyable. Just came across the Claude series – very well written with diverse vocabulary (but not too wordy) , funny, good illustrations and it looks like a chapter book which is fantastic to boost confidence for those little ones not able to be “on chapter books” yet like their peers. I think they are available at the library so check them out!

That’s great. Mrs Ashby has a couple in the library and we will order some more.
