Today’s roast dinner looked delicious.
We are happy to announce that the new school caterers from September 2019 will be Cambridge -based The Lunchtime Company.
Our previous caterers Aspens, did a fantastic job for us, improving the meals beyond recognition since they took over in 2014 . However staff, governors and children were really impressed with Lunchtime’s bid and agreed they were the best company to help us make our vision for lunchtimes a reality. We are very much looking forward to working with them from September.
We believe that lunchtime should be the highlight of the day for everyone at Mayfield Primary School. We want to help children gain a real appreciation for good quality food, where it comes from, how it’s produced and why healthy food is important. The Lunchtime Company offer children a wonderful choice of hot food, fresh vegetables, freshly baked bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, jacket potatoes… there really is something for everyone. All meals are cooked from fresh ingredients every day, sourced locally (where possible within a 60 mile radius of the school), and prepared on-site.
School lunches are free for children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 and cost £2.25 per day for children in Y3 and above.
