Monday 19th – we were very grateful to the Aspens staff in the kitchen today for cooking up a wonderful Christmas lunch. Sadly Wilma, who is leaving us a Christmas after many years in the school kitchen, was unable to be there but we all wish her well in her new job.

Look who visited school today with a present for each class:

On Monday 12th our PTA ran the annual Christmas Craft Day – once again a huge success with every child in school taking part in a carousel of Christmas craft activities.  Many thanks to Rachel Barnes and Helen Thorpe for organising it all, and to all the parents/carers who came in to help throughout the day.

Friday 9th December – it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Mayfield.  Last week a flock of robins of all shapes and sizes settled all over the school including Super-Robin in the large hall.

Today we started our Christmas celebrations by entertaining the Mayfield Seniors with tea and mince pies accompanied by festive songs.

Check back over the next few days for more Christmas news.
