Year 2 enjoyed learning about The Tempest by William Shakespeare during book week. They wrote poetry by imagining the commands Prospero would have used to create a storm. In DT, they used different techniques of working with paper to create mysterious islands.
Almighty rain, rise again.
Waves, sink that ship.
Lightning, fight the people.
Trees, hit the ground.
Thunder, scare everyone.
Sid:
Rain, rain, flood that boat wildly for my daughter’s sake.
Wind, howl loudly and make a fierce storm.
Thunder, roar as loud as you possibly can.
Waves, splash and make that boat sink deep into the blue.
Finlay:
Wind, howl like a wolf.
Rain, charge down.
Waves, rise and charge
Thunder, come and boom.
Lightning, come and zap.
