We have had a week of lovely Christmassy events at Mayfield.
Last Thursday and Friday Reception and Y1 put on their Christmas production, The Nativity, which was greatly enjoyed by the audiences of proud parents and carers.
Also on Thursday KS2 held their carol concert in Emmanuel United Reformed Church. Children from all classes were involved as well as the school choir and the school orchestra. 
On Saturday Mayfield’s choir were invited to sing with top Cambridge adult choir Cambridge Chorale in their Jingle All The Way concert, also at Emmanuel URC. They were accompanied by an amazing drummer and pianist. Well done to all the choir members who took part.
On Friday Y6 played host to the local seniors group with tea and festive cakes and a variety of musical entertainment.
Yesterday Y2 invited their adults to join them for mince pies and songs around the Christmas tree.
Today is the school Christmas lunch. Once again the kitchen staff have done us proud – it looked and smelt delicious. Staff waited on the children as they ate in the very festive looking halls.
