We have had lots of Christmas things going on lately with only the school assembly left to go.  Today was the Christmas lunch.  The kitchen team excelled themselves, the food looked and smelt great.  Tomorrow it’s the staff’s turn to try it.

Last Thursday and Friday saw the fabulous, critically acclaimed, Foundation Stage/Y1 Christmas production, Angel Express.

Also on Thursday was the KS2 carol concert.  This year, in our ongoing search for a big enough venue, we took over Emmanuel United Reformed Church in Trumpington Street.  Everyone agreed that the venue worked well and that the concert was beautiful.

Monday 15th was the annual MAPS Christmas Craft Day.  The carousel of activities on offer this year included reindeer bags, pine cone bird feeders, snowmen biscuit decorating, glittery Christmas cards and pretty wreaths.  The children had so much fun being creative.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who make a lot of these events possible – we really appreciate all that you do to make Mayfield the wonderful school it is.
