Last Friday Y4 dressed up in their best 1940s clothes and, with their ration books and gas masks handy, visited Duxford Imperial War Museum to learn about World War Two.  As well as looking at the planes and military vehicles they learnt about what it was like to be an evacuee, rationing and the role of the Women’s Voluntary Service in the war effort.  They also found out about Christmas celebrations during the war and looked at the toys 1940s children would have wished for.
