In the Spring of 2020, some of our pupils were eagerly rehearsing for their performance of All the King’s Men by Richard Rodney Bennett. Shortly before the performance, lockdown intervened.
Instead of giving up on the idea, 64 children aged 4-11 collaborated to record their singing and instrumental parts at home, under the direction of our wonderful music teacher Anne Taylor. Their recordings were made into an online opera, beautifully illustrated by Tonka Uzu, directed by Sul Hui Lee and edited by Ed Davison and Anne Taylor. Piano Ai Azami.
